De Old Drift Guided Tours
De Old Drift is nestled in the heart of Addo, on a working citrus farm. Not only does it boast a rich history in the area, but it is also conveniently located near many attractions in the Sundays River Valley.
With the Addo Elephant National Park on our doorstep—home to five of South Africa’s seven plant biomes, the Big 7, and renowned for its conservation efforts—our guided tour is a must-do experience.
The tour departs daily from De Old Drift Guest House and is offered specially for guests
staying with us. The tour is done in our open safari vehicle which seats 9 people only. Please kindly book prior to avoid disappointment. The tour is very popular so we cannot guarantee any open spaces without a booking.
As the Addo Park was started specifically in 1931 to save the Addo elephants from extinction, we concentrate on finding as many elephants as possible. We will also search for any other interesting animals along the way and talk about the vegetation too. Our guides are well experienced and very knowledgeable.
