Please feel free to visit the reception for advice on game drives and local activities in the Addo area – we’ll gladly help you plan an unforgettable experience in this special part of the Eastern Cape. A visit to the Addo Elephant National Park to see the gentle giants is a must!
We also offer guided game drives in open-top vehicles, departing directly from our farm – allowing you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the adventure.

- Gratuities: If you would like to leave a tip for our staff, please hand it in at reception upon check-out.
- Smoking: All rooms are non-smoking.
- Electric fence: The perimeter fence is live for security — please take caution.
- Remote control:
- Green button – opens the entrance gate (it will close automatically).
- Red button – panic button for emergencies only (press and hold for 3 seconds).
- On departure, stop in front of the gate; it will open automatically.
- Swimming pool: Please use the designated pool towels provided at the pool area.
- Families: For safety, please ensure children are supervised near the two dams on the property.
Experience the Addo Elephant National Park with De Old Drift’s Guided Tour
Departing daily from De Old Drift Guest House, this exclusive tour is offered specially for our in-house guests. The open safari vehicle seats just nine people, ensuring an intimate and memorable experience.
Our knowledgeable guides will take you through the park in search of Addo’s famous elephants and other incredible wildlife, while sharing insights about the vegetation and conservation efforts that make this park so special.
Please book in advance to avoid disappointment – spaces are limited and fill up quickly.

Alternatively, guests are welcome to self-drive through the park at their own pace.
Take a moment to unwind and treat yourself at our Wellness Nook, right here at De Old Drift Guest Farm. Our qualified therapist, Zoliswa, offers a range of relaxing treatments including full-body massages, soothing hand and foot rituals, and pampering manicures and pedicures, all using luxurious Kalahari products. It’s the perfect way to relax and rejuvenate without having to leave the farm.

Breakfast
Served daily from 07:30 – 09:00 in the Lapa.
If you’ll be checking out early, we can prepare a packed breakfast – please arrange this in advance.
For self-catering guests, breakfast is available at R200 per person. Kindly inform reception if you’d like to join us.
Lunch
Light lunches are available during the day.
We also offer picnic baskets – please order the day before so we can have them ready for collection after breakfast.
Dinner
Our dinners feature a set menu, with bookings required by 16:00 daily.
Menus change regularly to showcase fresh, local ingredients.

Find Africano’s 7 km from us on the R336 towards Kirkwood.
Wild Life Centre
About 7km from us on the R335 toward the Addo Park.
Addo Elephant Park Cattle Baron Restaurant
Find Cattle Baron in the Park’s rest camp area and enjoy a meal with them after a game drive in the Park.
Laundry bags and lists are provided in your cupboard.
Please place your laundry on the bed after breakfast – it will be collected and returned as soon as possible.

You are welcome to enjoy a peaceful walk through our gardens and lemon orchards.
- Be aware that the fence is electrified – do not touch.
In the event of a fire or emergency, please evacuate your room immediately and gather at the main entrance gate.
